Every alcoholic beverage sold in the US needs a Certificate of Label Approval from the TTB. That's created a database of over 2.9 million products going back more than two decades. It's public and it's free, but it's not easy to work with.
The TTB's search interface is dated. Label images are buried in inner pages. There's no API. If you want to pull data into your own systems, you're looking at manual exports and cleanup.
COLA Cloud has already done this data dirty work, so you can focus on building differentiated value for your business.
What we do
We scrape the TTB registry every day, pull down the label images, and run them through OCR and barcode extraction to capture data that isn't in the original records. Things like UPCs, product categories. Then we take that extracted text and run it through an LLM to extract even more useful information straight from the labels.
Anyway you want it
The full historical dataset is available in bulk through a data license. Self-service access to 2015-forward records is available through our REST API, SDKs, CLI, or MCP. The developer docs explain API keys, quotas, and client setup. If you like what you're seeing and want to scale up to something more serious, upgrade to a paid plan.
